“Volunteers are not paid-not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless”
Joining Us
What is a volunteer?
Our volunteers are people of any age who give up their time to serve those in our community through the CAP centre
What do our volunteers do?
We have a range of roles within the CAP centre that our volunteers can get invovled with, from supporting our Debt coaches as befrienders on client visits, to admin roles, CLC (community links co-ordinator), Client events, fundraising, CAP money course, and Life-skills course.
Who can volunteer?
The volunteers are from all around Crawley and the surrounding areas and they come from all walks of life and different Christian denominations, bringing a variety of skills and experience. For some of our roles we require you to be over 18 years of age and also some roles are subject to DBS checks.
How to become a Volunteer
If you are interested in volunteering, you can either email our centre manager racheldawson@caupuk.org or call us on 07749 938443. Depending on the voluntary role you may be asked to complete an application form, including two character references.
Trustees and Team Leaders also require a Disclosure and Barring Service certificate to confirm their suitability to work with our client group, some of whom are deemed as vulnerable adults. The Crawley CAP centre will apply for this on your behalf and meet any costs involved.
